Cruz Cafuné is a Canarian urban musician and undisputed leader of the urban music movement in the Canary Islands, which is known worldwide for the song Contando Lunares, the most listened song in Spain in 2019 with over 142 million plays on Spotify, a song that he composed with Don Patricio.
In January 2020, together with Adrian Rodd as the Creative Director of Studio Bruma, we started collaborating in creating Cruz Cafune’s website. We work hand in hand and shared ideas to have this amazing design.
Inspired by the urban rythyms and acoustic properties of the music produced by Cruz Cafuné, I started to design the corporate identity for the personal brand and for his latest album “Moonlight922”
My goal was to transmit the urban creative style in a typographic logo for both identities. In the case of Cruz Cafuné, in order to create a solid set, the singer’s artistic name was joined by a cross, developing a graphic treatment inspired by cult and urban references which was accompanied by a striking color palette. For the main color, a striking orange was chosen, thus enhancing the identity, which contrasts very well with the black background. For Moonlight922, a different typography was selected to blend with the main logo (Cruz cafuné), achieves the strength of unity that was necessary to create a family and a compact branding.
The graphic works produced were applied in all types of media, particularly in the poster´s design, for the tour, and merchandise that was later sold on the singer’s website.
Adrian Rodd shared the objective of increasing the visibility of Cruz Cafune’s brand on the website. I have continued working with the graphic pieces that were previously generated and making sure it is visible to all users. To convey these parameters, we designed a website with the idea of reaching the singer’s fans and emphasizing the ideas of branding.
These images show a very definitive and well layout design that shows the true objective of the website which is to attract customers to purchase merchandise. This page consists of the following sections: Home, Tour, Shop, Lookbook, Music and Bio.
